Update!
We had a sonogram today that measured the baby at a whopping 10 lbs 3 oz. The margin of error is +/- 1 lb. Let's hope it ends up being - 1 lb! Anyway, my doctor feels having a c-section is the safest method of delivery at this point as there are too many risks with a baby this size. I am scheduled for 4:30 today!
We know that the baby has fat rolls and some hair on her head- we saw both on the sonogram today!
I will post some pictures as soon as I am able. Wish me luck!

Still no baby...
Well, there is a baby, but she is still inside of me and does not want to come out! I had my weekly doctor's visit today for my 40 week appointment and there is not much progress. I am having some extreme swelling in my hands and feet so I will go again on Friday to have my blood pressure checked. It was fine today but they want to make sure it continues to stay that way. Apparently sometimes swelling can happen and then suddenly a person's blood pressure skyrockets. So, that's the story! Still pregnant and it looks like I will stay that way for awhile...

Will I be pregnant forever?!
So, I had my ~39 week check today and there is no progress to report. Nothing! Not even the slightest sign of impending labor. So, these are the appointments that were scheduled today:
*Wednesday, February 25- Regular Check-Up (~40 weeks)
*Monday, March 2- Non-Stress Test (to make sure the baby is doing ok) and Sonogram (to measure the baby's size)
*Friday, March 6- I'll be induced
I asked my doctor for her opinion on my "no progress" and she again told me not to be discouraged, that I could go into labor tomorrow. (I think she is just being nice...) But, she also said because my body is not showing any progress, she is inclined to think I will go past my due date. So there you have it!

One last picture...
Kevin and I are both just amazed at the size of my tummy! I never thought that my skin could stretch this much. It is really incredible. Here's one last shot!

Update...
I had my weekly appointment today (~38 weeks) and there is absolutely NO PROGRESS. 0 dilation, 0 effacement. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. Nada...My doctor said to me (again) that this means nothing and it does not indicate when I will go into labor. She also estimated that the baby is at least 7 lbs at this point. That seems plenty big to me, I wish this little lady would make her appearance! I feel pretty good, just really tired. I just have to remind myself that worst case scenario, we'll be meeting this little baby girl 3 weeks from Friday! That's not so bad, right?

No news yet...
I went to the doctor this week and there is still no progress at all. BUT, she said that doesn't really mean much- some ladies do not progress until they are in active labor. So, it could be any day now and we are trying to be patient, but it is hard! Also, I am tentatively penciled in for an induction on March 6 (8 days post due) should the baby be stubborn and not come on her own. My doctor said she wanted me to have an end in sight, although she truly feels mother nature will take care of things before then. Let's hope so! :-)
